Buildcord is a visual builder for Discord bots. Wire commands, events and schedules into flows, design the messages they send, and deploy when it looks right.

You'll never have to write code again.

Wire your bots up with a visual builder. Drag and drop steps, connect them with arrows, and see how your flows run in real time.

  • Slash commands

With options and subcommands, synced to Discord when you deploy.

    /poll question
  • Server events

Someone joins, posts or reacts, and the flow gets who did it and where.

    A member joins
  • Schedules

A time of day, an interval, or a cron expression if you'd rather write one.

    Fridays at 6 PM

Design what your bot says

Design your embeds, buttons, menus, and messages, and preview them live in the app.

Data, without a database to run

Variables remember a value per member or per server. Collections hold rows you can add, find, change and loop over, right from a flow.

Enough steps for everything

Reply, assign a role, wait, branch, loop, call an API. Not enough? You can even run your own code.

Catch errors before they embarrass you

Every flow is checked as you build. Anything that would break is listed .

Built in observability

See which flows ran, who set them off, how long they took, and which ones failed.

It's so easy, we'll even build it for you.

Use the built in AI Agent to describe a change, and watch it wire the command up for you. It can add steps, change the flow, and even explain what it does.

  • Add a cooldown so it can't be spammed
  • Reply with an embed instead of plain text
  • Explain what this flow does

Deploy in seconds, not hours

  • Deploy when you're ready

Make your edits without your members noticing. The live bot keeps running the last version meanwhile.

  • No downtime needed

We'll switch to the new version without dropping the connection to Discord.

  • Keep a history of each deploy

Every deploy is a numbered version with a note about what changed, who shipped it and when.

  • Test in a sandbox first

Sync commands to one server, where changes show up instantly, before they go to every server.

Run your bot where your members are.

With 7 regions on 5 continents. Pick the one closest to your members when you deploy, and replies have less distance to cover.

Rest easy, your infrastructure is taken care of

We run your bot on our own infrastructure, with 99.99% uptime, health checks, backups and instant rollbacks. You can focus on building, not servers.

99.99%

Uptime

That's under an hour of downtime in a year.

Instant rollback

Made a mistake? Instantly roll back to the previous version, without any downtime.

Health checks

We'll make sure your new version is working correctly before it goes live. If it doesn't, the last one stays live.

Backups

Your bot's variables and data are backed up for you, without a schedule to set up.

Secrets kept apart

We'll never share or expose your secrets, or tokens. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Share what you built with a link.

Publish a bot as a link. Whoever opens it makes a copy of their own; yours stays exactly as it is.

  • Share everything a bot does, and publish again whenever you change it.
  • Whoever opens the link gets their own copy to change, not a way into yours.
  • Only what was built travels. Secrets and stored data stay behind.

Private by default, not by setting.

  • Only what a flow needs

The access your bot asks Discord for is worked out from its steps. A bot that never reads messages never asks to.

  • Your token is encrypted

We encrypt your token and store it securely. It's never shown, and never shared.

  • Your server's data is, well... yours

What your bot stores belongs to your bot. We will never sell it, and we don't use it for anything but running your flows.

  • Sign in with a passkey

Your account can use a passkey instead of a password, so there's nothing to leak or guess.

Free until your bot needs to stay awake.

A bot that only answers commands runs free. One that listens to the server or keeps a schedule needs a machine of its own. The builder tells you which a bot needs before you deploy it.

Questions, answered.

What is Buildcord?

Buildcord is a visual, no-code builder for Discord bots. You draw what a bot does as flows: slash commands, server events and schedules, each wired to steps like replying, assigning roles, storing data or calling an API. Then you deploy, and Buildcord hosts and runs the bot for you.

Do I need to know how to code to make a Discord bot with Buildcord?

No. Every bot is built by connecting steps on a canvas, and the built-in AI agent can add or change steps when you describe what you want in plain English. If you do write code, the paid plan has a step that runs your own JavaScript.

Is Buildcord free?

Yes. The Free plan costs nothing and runs up to 3 bots that answer slash commands, with buttons, menus, forms, embeds, variables and collections. The Paid plan is $8 a month and adds bots that stay connected to Discord to react to server events, run on a schedule, use voice and run custom code.

What is a gateway bot?

A gateway bot stays connected to Discord all the time, which is what reacting to server events (members joining, messages, reactions), running schedules, joining voice and showing a custom status all need. On Buildcord each gateway bot gets a machine of its own. A bot that only answers slash commands doesn't need one and runs free.

Do I need to host my Discord bot myself?

No. Buildcord runs your bot. Bots that only answer commands run on Buildcord's shared service, and gateway bots run on a dedicated machine in the region you choose: US East (Virginia), US West (California), Europe (Frankfurt), Asia (Singapore).

How do I connect my bot to Discord?

Create an application in the Discord Developer Portal, copy its bot token, and paste it into your bot's settings in Buildcord, where it's stored encrypted and never shown again. Buildcord then gives you an invite link that asks for exactly the permissions your bot's flows use.

Can I build a Discord bot with my team?

Yes. Invite people to a bot by email and they can edit its flows, deploy it, and read its logs and data. A bot can be shared with up to 2 people on the Free plan and 10 on the Paid plan.

How do updates and deploys work?

Edits stay in the builder until you deploy. Each deploy is checked first, becomes a numbered version with a note, and goes live without disconnecting the bot. You can roll back to any earlier version, and test commands in one server before releasing them everywhere.

Can I export my bot?

Yes. Any bot can be downloaded as a blueprint, a documented JSON file describing everything it does, and a blueprint can be imported to create a new bot.

Is Buildcord affiliated with Discord?

No. Buildcord is an independent service for building bots on Discord, and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Discord.

A command, a reply and a deploy is a working bot. It takes a few minutes.
